Exciting eligibility changes effective immediately

Are you a student athlete? This applies to you!  Since the end of the 2017-2018 school year, there has been a change in the way athletes will need to maintain their academic standings in regards to sports eligibility. The new changes were put into effect over the summer, for the 2018-2019 school year and athletic season. After interviewing the Athletic director, Coach Harrison, and the head coach of the football team, Coach Moyer, there has been a positive response to the new rules for eligibility.

The new eligibility guidelines were drafted with assistance from new athletic director Mr. Harrison. Both Moyer and Harrison agree that the new eligibility rules are more clear and easy to understand for student athletes, and that they will be a positive change for the 2018-2019 school year.

Some changes include: eligibility being submitted both Thursday afternoon and Friday morning, changes to the minimum grades allowed, and not including clubs and activities, such as band and musical, from eligibility standards. Time and time again, Conrad Weiser raises the bar for student athlete performance, but only time will tell how the new rules will affect student athletes.
